Tucson Is Almost Here
Every year, Tucson becomes a place where the mineral world comes together in a way that feels special. It’s not just about the show — it’s about the people, the conversations, and the shared appreciation for material that takes time to truly understand.
For us, Tucson has always been about meeting collectors and friends. Many of these connections are built slowly, year after year, and Tucson is where they come back to life. It’s where familiar faces meet again, where new friendships begin, and where pieces are finally seen in person instead of through a screen.
This year marks our fourth year at this same location in Tucson, once again at the Agates From Mexico Gallery, at 451 N Granada Avenue. We’ll be open in Tucson throughout the 2026 show season, from January 28 to February 15.
What We’re Bringing This Year
We’ll be presenting a small and carefully chosen group of Mexican agates — pieces selected not for quantity, but for character and presence. Some are quietly powerful. Others immediately draw attention. All of them earned their place by standing out in ways that are hard to explain until you see them in person.

Among the pieces we’ll be sharing are agates that have never been shown publicly before. Some come directly from our personal collection and will return there after the show. Others are our latest finds, prepared specifically to be exhibited in Tucson.
This is the part of Tucson we love most — seeing reactions, answering questions, and letting people spend time with the agates without rush.
A Space to Slow Down and Look Closely
What we value most during Tucson is the atmosphere. There’s time to look, time to talk, and time to appreciate details that don’t always translate through photographs. We’re here to share our experience with the material and what we’ve learned from working with these pieces over time.
If you’ve visited us in previous years, you already know how this feels. If this will be your first time, you’re always welcome to stop by, say hello, and spend a moment with the agates.

A quiet moment of discussion during Tucson.
Looking Forward to Seeing You
Tucson is where the year’s work finally comes together, not as a display, but as a shared experience. It’s where stories are exchanged, perspectives are shared, and appreciation grows deeper.
We’re looking forward to being back once again — reconnecting with friends, meeting new collectors, and sharing something truly special in person.
If you’re in Tucson this year, we hope you’ll stop by.
Some pieces don’t need to be explained — they just need time in front of them.
Why We Approach Tucson This Way
Over the years, our relationship with Tucson has evolved. What began as a place to show material has become a place to connect, exchange ideas, and share the direction we’re taking with our collection. We’ve learned that less can often say more — especially when it comes to agates that deserve time, context, and conversation.
This year, rather than bringing a larger volume of material, we chose to focus on the highest-end pieces we’ve found. These are agates that stood out immediately and continued to stand out after careful consideration. Bringing fewer pieces allows space for discussion, closer inspection, and a more meaningful experience for everyone who visits.

At the same time, our work doesn’t begin and end with the show. This year we also launched our website as a place where we can share agates more thoughtfully and consistently. While Tucson allows us to present a focused, in-person selection, the website is where we continue to document and release new specimens on a regular basis, with the same care and attention.
For those who won’t be in Tucson this year, our website offers a deeper look into the collection as it continues to grow — a place where new specimens are shared over time, with the same level of intention.
