This extraordinary Coyamito specimen is a complete agate pseudomorph after aragonite, an exceptionally rare formation where the original aragonite crystal structure has been entirely replaced by chalcedony while perfectly preserving its elongated crystal habit. The result is a dramatic natural spire composed of stacked, blade-like crystals rising upward like a mineral tower. Soft lavender, smoky gray, and pale chalcedony tones flow through the preserved crystal forms, revealing the internal replacement that occurred during the agate’s formation. Fine quartz crystals and delicate druzy growth accent the surfaces, adding sparkle and texture while highlighting the intricate geometry of the original aragonite structure.
